new Johan();

Long time no blogging. Actually quite a LONG TIME! I got a little spare time this evening, after playing some DoTA (getting pwned at DoTA that is), I thought I should cast a resurection spell on the blog. Maybe someone still reads it, who knows. At first I made an update to wordpress which was veery outdated since my last update in april.

As before, I’ll still write my blogposts in both romanian and english just for the sake of diversity.

As for me, what should I say. In this entire break that I took from blogging , I did a lot of things, minor or major , depending of the point you’re looking at it. So , I’m proud to say I got my driving license, the first try. :hooray: Second of all, I passed the year at college, I didn’t pass all the exams but hey, there’s still time in autumn session right?

Regarding work I finished some small projects in the breaks that I took from working on the HUGE mdfkin project that I work on for 3 months now.

I started using CodeIgniter , also for 3 months now, and all I can say that IT ROCKS! I’ll never code something without it anymore. It makes an application as flexible and expandable as it can get with the power of OOP and adds lots of speed to the development process by it’s predefined classes methods and also, not last, the MVC pattern similar to the Rails framework. I’m happy with it and I’ll stick to it.

Together with CodeIgniter I choose Prototype as my favored javascript framework. I learned it while working with it, it’s easy to use and it can help you build stunning  Ajax applications.

That’s about it, I’ll post some more from now on.

Today I added the smilies plug-in, of course, with a ton of smilies as usual. Most of them are taken from the other blog (on which they landed from craiovaforum) and most of them have glasses (guess why :boogie: ). I will add more things to it today, including the last.fm radio, which I missed so much :thumbsup: , and the google ad-sense.
Now I just have to think where to put it so it won’t get in the way… not that I earned alot from it (I can’t withdrawn anything yet) but mayb in a century I’ll get that $100 (kidding).

So the 1st of february came and my blog was still dead. So I decided, with the little spare time that I have, to “revive” it. I think I’m gonna leave it as it is for the moment, but I’ll add stuff on the way.

As you might noticed, I switched to wordpress. The old blog was using simplephpblog. It seemed ok, in the beggining, but it started to throw out some nasty errors that became irritating, which I was too lazy to fix myself. I cannot import the old post, I’ll just add a redirect to that subdomain, making it point here. Also I’m going to repost some stuff that were apreciated on the old blog (eg: the yahoo smileys pack that I made for Pidgin, that was saved by Saltwater whom I thank).

As an interesting fact, I would like to say that starting today, I’ll write all my posts in both romanian and english. You can choose the language for the top left links.

Also I want to redo the blogroll , so if you have me in your blogroll, or had me, please update the link and leave a comment here, so I can add you up on my blog roll.
